I wanted to take a moment to clarify some issues that you might have seen in the
media or on the news.
As you know, Kaiser is a small school. We have around 184 students projected in
grades K-5 for the 23/24 school year. This number does not include our ECE
classrooms. These numbers identify us as a small school as a small school is
215 K-5 students or less.
Last night, the media/news reported that DPS might be taking a look at small
schools and how to create community conversations to solve for our small
schools moving forward. Rest assured, there are no plans at this time to close
our amazing school!
Some of you have asked what you can do to help. Enrollment is key! Please
encourage your friends, family and neighbors to enroll in our school!
I will keep you posted as I continue to receive information about small schools
conversations and how we can all be involved.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Please don’t hesitate to
reach out with any questions.
