Kindergarten: If you need logins or have any questions reach out to your students teachers via Class Dojo
Dear Kaiser Families,
You can support your child’s learning at home using a variety of online programs and tools that our students currently use during a regular school day. All DPS resources are accessed with your student’s ID # and birth date (for example if the birthdate is March 16, 2012, it should be typed as 03162012). Teachers have shared unique student login information but if you need to get it please reach out to your student’s teacher by class dojo. We hope these sites are helpful.
For grades K-5, these are our recommendations: pick one activity a day per academic subject

Writing
Mathematics

Dear Kaiser Families,
You can support your child’s learning at home using a variety of online programs and tools that our students currently use during a regular school day, or that are recommended by your student’s teacher. All DPS resources are accessed with your student’s ID # and birth date (for example if the birthdate is March 16, 2012, it should be typed as 03162012). Teachers have shared unique student login information but if you need to get it please reach out to your student’s teacher by class dojo. We hope these resources are helpful.
For First Graders these are our recommendations:
Reading
To support your student with reading, consider having them read 30 minutes per day, or if this is frustrational, having an adult read to the student is great too! Consider taking turns reading or reading to a pet to make it more fun and less frustrating. Practicing phonemic awareness (sounds in words), phonics (spelling patterns), and other reading skills will set your student up for success in reading.
Writing
To support your student with writing, consider having them practice letter formation, finger spaces between words, sight words, and writing complete sentences in response to a text or writing their own story. In first grade we support students with writing phonetically (writing a letter(s) for each sound they hear in a word).
Mathematics
To support your student with math, consider having them practice adding and subtracting within 20, and counting by 1s and 10s forwards and backwards from any number within 120. Below are some online games and math activities to explore!
